Samsung SMX F30 series - suitable video editing program

I am a camcorder novice and have just bought a Samsung SMX-F30SP. The Cyberlink Media Show program has uploaded my clips but does not provide very sophisticated editing facilities. No other programme currently on my PC will upload my clips (HP S3322). Does anyone know why, and can anyone recommend a program that provides better editing facilities that the Cyberlink Media Show? Senu, on you description of the Samsung MX in 2008, you mentioned WMP, Nero Showtime and GOM. Would any of these be better than Cyberlink and would they work with the SMX-F30SP?

Thank you
