Sony HDR-XR200VE Battery

I've just bought the Sony HDR XR200VE and I'm planning on taking it with me on my honeymoon.

It comes with NP-FH60 battery and i'm planning to get a spare longer lasting battery. I've seen the NP-FH70, has anyone used this with the 200ve? If so how long does it last?

The one that i've seen is an orignal sony one, what are your thoughts on 3rd party branded batteries?

Cheers

Re: Sony HDR-XR200VE Battery

Just going by the specs - the FH60 is rated 1000mAh, the FH70 is rated 1800mAh. So I'd expect the FH70 to last to 1.8x however long the FH60 lasts under average use.

Cheers for that. I didn't thinking of it that way!
