Question Canon HV30 versus HV40

Hello,

Having read various threads here, it seemed that the Canon HV30 was highly recommended. I have looked at some reviews on the internbet and it seems that the only difference between the HV20 and HV30 is that the HV30 is black and the HV20 was silver, otherwise they are the same machine! So I thought I would look to buy either a HV20 or HV30. But now I find there is a HV40 as well. Using the comparison feature on the Canon web site, the HV40 and HV30 appear to be identical in spec., yet the HV40 is a hundred pounds more.

What are the differences, good or bad, between the HV40 and HV30? Is it worth paying more for the HV40?

Thanks in advance.

There is more differences with the us versions, the pal hv20/30 has always given true progressive for those that

want it the us ones did not but the us HV40 is now like our hv 20/30.As far as the difference between the pal 30

and 40 it is some small detail which i can not remember at present, for me not worth a hundred pounds or more if you look around.

A small custom button it seems
