Lightbulb Camcorder Purchase Advice Please:

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of searching for a HD Camcorder, to record family memories going forward. Now I aint Steven Speilberg but would like to produced High Quality Videos with the future in mind.

My requirements are as follows:

HD - I or P? Is there that much benefit for 60fps, should i be considering this now as a future proof consideration?

Digital Transfer - Would like it to record in a straight forward format and not be a chore to convert or process etc, would prefer it to be as simple as to card in MP4 format.

Price - Well this is an obvious consideration, but don't want a rubbish camcorder and as I said I aint producing FreeSat programmes from my living room either.

Now I've had a look around and I am currently looking at the

Sanyo Xacti 2000. Is this the one for me? Is it the best one in this price range (seen for £380 online)...

Just need some reassurance, or some advice to the alternatives.

Thanks for any help you are all stars.
