Unfortunately this is not normal behaviour. The fonts and menu displays on my HF100 are perfectly stable.

Hi,
Could you please confirm there no flicker on the menu fonts and sides at all and they 100% stable? Do you think I should send it back to the merchant?

Thank you.

Re: Canon hf 100 Menu fonts a bit flickery / jumpy is it normal?

You'll be lucky to find one - it's been discontinued for a while now, and most stores are out of stock having sold off their few remaining display models.

If you want to stick with this model, you might have to consider either requesting a warranty repair (though I'd lay a small wager on your being told there's nothing abnormal about it - you'll have to see whether your vendor is willing to play ball) or living with it until something goes seriously nipples-up - which it may not.

Bear in mind, of course, that this flickering almost certainly won't be visible on output video.

If you've paid a reasonal chunk for it, I'd probably consider sending it back. If it was a £200/£300 currys purchase, I'd hang on to it unless it's exhibiting other problems.

Re: Canon hf 100 Menu fonts a bit flickery / jumpy is it normal?

I would really love to buy something perfect as it is present for my wife’s birthday…

Amazon.co.uk Has HF10 but they want £711 for it. It is the Amazon itself not the people from its umbrella.
Argos online has HF100 for £635.
I bought me hf100 from GSM fonz under Amazon umbrella. for £560...

Can I actually fit battery from hf 100 to new hfs10/100?
Damn I have bought couple accessories for hf100...
I am start thinking of hfs100 simply electrics have it for £850…
It’s the price for accessories I am a bit concerned about they are quite pricy for new models…

Thanks a lot
