Hi all, just got my first digital camcorder, canon md235

I want to be able to use an external mic but in the pics before i bought this it showed the camcorder with a mic shoe

There isnt one with mine so i guess it comes with the mic you buy, however, i still cant see how it can fit on the camcorder?

Also, can anyone recommend the best editing software, really, all i want to do is video some interviews and put them on a website

There is no best software ; Have a look around and state what youve found .
We will tell you its pros and cons
With inerviews your shooting technique is more impt than software
