Panasonic H81 or JVC HD30EK

Hi

I am looking to buy a camcorder mainly for recording in low light (not at night outside though) and I can get a discount at a retail shop and so decided to look at the options.

The above camcorders seem ok but I know very little about these and on speaking to someone about the lens F value they told me the lower the better.

As this is the case, I looked at these two camcorders and the Panasonic (standard def) is f=1.9(wide) and 5.7(tele). The JVC is High def so I do not Know if this effects the f value has it is f=4.5 ( I think this is right as it came from the image that Amazon have on their website).

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I would like a High Def but if it going to produce poor recordings then spending an extra £70 would not be worth it.
