Canon . have I made a big mistake?

I went and brought a canon elura 65 from gumtree.com which is a bit like ebay but your have the option of collecting the item.

I won't be home until late tonight , but I was a bit silly and brought it in haste with out thinking.

I have just found out that the Elura is the american canon brand.
On an advert on the net it said it had a firewire port but I can't find one.

I brought for a bargin at 100 uk pounds

I am wondering when i get home will it work onto my dvd recorder by using an av cable option, I suppose I can go the SD card option but I have'nt a clue on how to do it the USB SD card route, can someone please help me out with advice.

Dave

Re: Canon . have I made a big mistake?

Having quickly googled, it looks like there is a cover on the front under the mic. I would expect to find your firewire port under there.
