Great deal on Panasonic SD100 - £279.99

I'm sure this is a cracking deal for a great camera...

I've just picked up the Panasonic SD100 for £279.99 from Currys (they also threw in a 1gig and a 2gig SD card).

The SD100 seems to get rave reviews everywhere, it's packed full of features, uses 3 CMOS sensors, hotshoe, Mic jack, etc. etc. and seems to retail at most other stores for over £500.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post the details as I originally came into this thread looking for a recommendation of a sub £400 camera, and I'm sure many others will too.

Pretty amazing, as the SD100 was retailing for anywhere between £700 and £800 nine months ago. Good work!

Thanks for this. Went to my local branch but they didn't have any. They checked the computer and saw one in a branch 50 miles away... Managed to call and they put it away for me. Went there and bought it. Absolutely mint, everything still sealed in bags.. No movement at all on any deals though (and I'm normally good at haggling) - not even a mini HDMI cable. Still, a great camera for an amazing price. Certainly wasn;t interested in the cards they tried to flog me (think it was a class 4 8GB for £39.99..). So, need to find some decent deals for those now so I can use the thing...
