toshiba k40he help please

hi there i have just brought this camera and have taken several videos, they have uploaded onto my pc but when i try to play them back it judders and dosent run clean throughout, happens about every 2-3 seconds.
i have also tried putting a video into my itunes in which it goes straight in but plays even worse than any other player i want to be able to watch them clearly on my iphone and watch then on the pc.

also i have saved the software that come with the camera but it wont let me access the video editer as nero says it needs direct x 9 or higher. i tried downloading it but still saying it.

help would be greatly appreceated.

thanks
