Non-Sony battery replacement (NP-FH50)?

Just bought a Sony HDR-CX105 (very pleased with it so far

) but want to get a spare battery or two.

Was looking to get this one as it was the most expensive non-Sony replacement I could find.

Read somewhere on amazon that Sony have built chips into their batteries so a non-standard battery won't be recognised by the camera - does anyone know if this is true, and if the Energizer replacement above is worth a punt?

Cheapest I can find a Sony original is £40 here

I bought an oem style NP-FH50 via ebay and it was sold as being fully compatible and when I used it in my TG3 camcorder it was! Battery life appears and seems to be true to the reading - no warnings etc.

I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link but search for the seller super electronics: I paid less than £12 for it and I was happy.
