things that set CoD:WaW apart from COD4:MW

Ok, there seems to be lots on here about how WaW is just a skin on COD4 but I have noticed differences that might just get me to buy the game and think it might be worth sharing these in one place to help those still on the fence.

This is my list based on my observations please feel free to add.

1. Second Chance perk - This gives you the ability to 'heal' team mates who are on last stand

2. Tanks - They do add a certain added layer to the games play, I have seen people run riot in these and also they can be quite hard to destroy

3. Team Killers booted in hardcore - If you team kill 3 times in a hardcore game you get booted, this includes team mates on last stand.

4. Squad based play - if you party up with friends you can form a squad or if you like playing with set people in a game you can form a squad. You then respawn with them and you can ID them as their name is blue.

I think thats all I can think of at work. Might add more later.

EDIT

5. Search for Local games i.e. Europe only (Thanks too EyesOnly)

6. Last stand last for longer - This means you really can get big kill streaks whilst dying and gives time for a team memberto 'Revive' you

7. Zombie MP Co-Op (Thanks to EyesOnly and Chris)

8. Single Player Co-Op - for upto 4 players (Cheers Chris)

Never knew that about being booted after 3 kills. I had some looser on my team killing me yesterday for no reason, after 2 or 3 kills he disapeared.

You can set the search for multiplayer games to just local, ie folks in europe

Also the zombie bonus multiplayer game unlocked after completing the single player game, worth a purchase just for that I reckon!

I think muddled up in all the hype there is actually a few things that stand out in this game.
  • Local play online - What a great idea.
  • Zombie MP CO-OP & MP COP-OP in SP

Everything else is worse IMO. But I won't cover old ground again...

Chris.

I'm at work so doing this from memory...after you select xbox live I think you press the blue X button for search options and select Local from there.

Hope that helps
