Calling all AVF Noobs.

Please feel free to join the Noob brigade by: sending an FR to AVF Noobs.

Remember, AVF Noobs tag is not just for COD. Once we get a weekly time/day we can vote on the choice of game.

The poll above will give us an idea of what is the best day/time to meet up and hopefully generate some interest. I haven't put the weekend down as there are some other AVF tags that meet up and i don't wont to tread on any toes. I think the Mike Myers tag meets on Sundays and the AVF COD one meets on Saturdays? The AVF Noobs tag was created for noobs, so please can we have just relatively new/unskilled players for now.

We only have 11 friends on the tag at the moment, so come on you noobs put your name down. There must be a hell of a lot more than 11 noobs.

I don't want to rule out help from the good players? This could be a godsend when playing TDM. I don't want to alienate any of the great people on here that have been a constant help.

Please can i have your thoughts/suggestions.

Snorb/Giz/Phil,
you need to change the privacy settings on the AVF Noobs list, I tried to get some lads together for a few games the other day but couldnt access the friends via the profile.
Anyone finding their way with COD I think this is a great idea, you can always take yourself off the list when you feel ready. I'm more than up for getting a group together to play a few Groundwars or TD and showing everyone the "choke" points and helping people rack up a few kills. It is easily the hardset game to break into from early on, but once you start finding your way it is incredibly addictive.

Nope, that won't work. We are gonna have to get a little lobby going and then venture into the scary world of online. with everyone on the same team we should be able to get some good comms going. Maybe do some map walk rounds in a Private game first......lol ! I have almost made this sound like school !

Thats a shame but am sure we can get some stuff setup and you do learn the maps from the MM games and great places to hide

Surely that should read 2 or 3 caps at point blank range Wolfie.......although all this banter has got me thinking about attempting a proper AVF tournament......I feel a thread coming on !

I've had a look at the settings for the AVF Noobs tag but don't know what i should be changing? In the privacy settings they are all set to 'everyone' can view? Should i be doing something else??

Hi Deftones, you missed the mayhem and carnage on Friday evening! It was hilarious! MM was great fun and all guys were really helpful. Hillskill and Aston did a TDM with me, but i still didn't get any kills. I just enjoy the taking part and i'm sure i'll pick it up eventually.

I'll be joining in on Sundays and on any that are arranged for midweek. My online time does fluctuate a lot though.

Are those anything like Flaming Sambuka's?? I have never tried to light a beer before?

Anyhow.. iwill be on tonight as the Sweet Smelling Mrs Spammy is behind the NAAFI bar selling Flamin' beers to the great unwashed. I wouls gladly join in some of the private stuff to show the Nubbys around the maps before plowing into some fun ranked shenanigans!

this reminds me of a post I once did when the game first came out. I dreamt i went to a COD4 theme park in the desert where they had reconstructed the maps for real. Except everyone was complaining that it was sunny on Vacant when it should be raining.
