Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

You going to rank up after 65 levels and do it all again i did it in cod4 but am not doing it in this. I ask my friends online lastnite they said the same.

re: Are you going Prestige in DOD:WaW?

no, i can't be bothered, i prestiged cod4 a) because i really got into it b) i had a lot of time on my hands c) there wasn't much else to play that imo was worthwhile.

however with fable 2, gow2 and lbp on the ps3 i won't have the time and i certainly don't have the desire to prestige.

it was mentioned that you get extras for prestiging this time round, can anyone confirm what they are and if they will give you a distinct advantage on the battlefield?

thanks, chris.

re: Are you going Prestige in DOD:WaW?

I won't prestige, I won't in CoD 4 either because I simply don't have the time to level up all over again.

I can do without extra custom slots too, I only ever use a couple anyway.

You put WOW too but everyone knows what you meant cos it's in the COD section

I will deffinitely be prestigeing, the game is short lived and quickly becomes boring without something to aim for. Wont use extra custom slots though

re: Are you going Prestige in DOD:WaW?

Nope, I won't be either. I prestiged once in COD4 and wondered why I bothered. Teaches you to use other guns but it just seems pointless to get a slightly different badge. I certainly won't this time.

Thing is, i'm a casual gamer. I can't spend 4-5 hours per day playing the game so i'd rather spend my time wisely than grinding through a game for another badge.

I didn't in COD4 so I won't in WaW. I play for fun rather than prestige

Plus as mentioned earlier, so many other great games to be playing both on and offline.

Re: Are you going Prestige in DOD:WaW?

I think it depends on how long it takes to get round, I did on COD4 and more than likely will on 5.

as people have said it gives you something to aim at, i found that once the final prestige was done, i moved to the golden guns, once that was done on to completing all of the challenges, once that was done i didn't play it anymore.

This was probably due to the fact i had been playing it for 20 days over the past year!

but once everything was done i really started to notice the issues with the game a whole lot more, namely lag, it annoyed me more and more and i am now a very occasional player but usually not more than one or 2 games before i switch to something else.

it would be good to get extra setup slots, just so you don't have to mess round changing setups for different game types.

Re: Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

I won't, I only use a few classes anyway. I did not do it on COD4 either. I think they should give you something better for doing it, more perks or guns, then I would, but not for badges and extra classes.

Re: Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

statistics are just as important as xp points if not more valued in my opinion. k/d ratio and w/l ration, now thats what gets ppl going oooooooooo :O

i honestly feel with the way prestige works i will not ever do it, starting again is crazy all ur doing is being forced to feel the need to play the game to get that new perk or new gun when u remember a month before going ahhh thats me got the perk now..

id rather aim for a different game instead..

dont get me wrong i wont stop playing the game and i'm itching for a map pack with less glitches and more fields to play with the trench gun bayonet

Re: Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

For me going Prestige in COD4 was not really a disadvantage, the M16a was available form the start as were Stopping Power and Steady Aim (well once you unlocked custom slots). I nearly always use the M16, mp5 or M4 with stopping power and steady aim, so it really made very little difference, therefore it was not too painful to prestige.

However, on COD:WaW the MP40 is pretty good (lvl 10 if I remember correctly), but I prefer the stg44 which is level 30 odd... I dont think I could handle feeling impaired for so long without weapons that I like, I won't be prestiging in this game. Tbh at the moment I'm not even sure I'll get there... WaW has not got under my skin like COD4 did, it may be the weapons or the balance, but I definitley find it more annoying. Especially tanks!! I hate them!

Edit: just realised this is a really old post!

initially I said I wouldn't but now I'm thinking of going for it. I think I will also be trying to convince a few of my mates to take the plunge with me. Would be a giggle if 3 or 4 of us did it at the sametime

I've given up on gun challenges - 1000xp is a good game of search and destory - not really worth using a gun I don't like for it.

I think there should be some harder challenges for example 1000 kills with a gun 10k XP, 100 FFA wins - 15k XP - That kind of things. Would make ranking up better.

Re: Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

I just did my first Prestige the night before last, I honestly didn't think I was going to bother as I had waited sooo long to get the Flamethrower, what a let down THAT was

I was really interested in getting another custom class though and probably will prestige again to get another but I think after that you need at least 2 levels of prestige for another class.

Actually had a lot of fun ranking up again so quick, especially sometimes getting 2 or even 3 promotions in one match

Oh, and I'm addicted to the Unlocking Achievement 'plink' sound

Re: Are you going Prestige in COD:WaW?

I think i wil.

You will get bored not achieving anything.

plus people are saying all you get is extra create a classes.

well they come in bloody! for example sabotage and you have a tank just killing your team and you constantly, then if you just have that 6th slot set up with satchel charges and fireworks, then chuck both on the tank get back and boom thats the tank taken care of. all that happens while your team plants it job done.

it is is worth prestigeing!

and you don't get bored.

Well, isn't that funny? My 6th class is called 'Tankbuster' and consists of the above with a sticky grenade and extreme conditioning to get to the tank quick!

Great minds 'n' all that

I too vowed to stick on Prestige 1 Level 65 ready for the tourny but last night in a moment of weakness/stupidity I went onto my 2nd prestige and am regretting it now. I`d better get my STG-44 back before the tourny or I`m gonna sulk like a 5 year old!

Got to admit mate, when I finish doing the Prestiges I will be enjoying a good long break from WaW as i'm starting to get a little bored of ranking up every time.

Probably give COD4 another go infact.

My sentiments exactly.
Had a go the other nite, and it's a totally different game.
Fast paced, enjoyable and funny enough me & a mate played 7 games in a row and not 1 person was talking.
We were even shouting abuse trying to get a reaction, nothing.
