My mate has downloaded the maps on one account which i will call A.Now his mate recovered A onto his hard drive then changed account and download it on his as it was now on his hard drive.He got it without the code aswell.Can't believe this works.Anyone else done this.

That suggests there's a lack of DRM with the beta and it's not tied to console serial number or Gamertag. I'm surprised they didn't tie it to a Gamertag so you can only play it with that Gamertag signed in, especially after the CoD4 beta situation.

I was only wondering as i know people where getting banned off ebay for selling them as the COD5 makers got annoyed by it so i would i thought they would of covered this too as its seems really simple.Apparently you can do it with the cod4 map pack but i asways thought that the download only worked on the gamertag that downloaded it.

This was rife with the COD4 beta. I know because that is how I got onto it. There was a large thread posting the original gamertag around. If I remember rightly there were a lot of banned consoles and the original thought was the console who'd originally downloaded the beta got banned from Live. It was then claimed that the ban wasn't because of this but was a clear breach of terms and conditions.

Downloads work for any gamertag on the same console as the tag that downloaded them. I'm not sure but you may be needed to be signed into xbox Live to get access to them...

This sounds like what I did with COD4 beta and it got me banned. (There's a post somewhere on here from me about it, if you do some digging you'll find it!)

I went to the download screen for the beta on one account, used a different controller to sign in on a second account and downloaded it using that one, then that gamertag had it associated with it too, so it could be redownloaded on another console using that gamertag.
Did a fair few (probably 15+) for people on here and M$ ended up banning my console from live. Calling support did nothing either (again, calls mentioned on here somewhere).

Got a new 360 and am back on live!
