Whos going to stick with COD4?

I for one am cod5 looks great and all but im just not interested and i dont think ill be getting one until cheap second hand ones appear on the forums or until i reach prestige 10 im almost prestige 8 now so maybe the former maybe more realistic.

Just replied to another of your posts on the "Is world at War Beta any good?" thread. I think this will do for this one!!!!

"Do not feed the trolls" and its abbreviation DNFTT!

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

I sold my cod4 last month, completely bored of the same old maps time and time again. Can't believe IW only released 1 map pack for it in a whole year! Huge missed opertunity.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I think as the games are so similar (apart from ones modern and ones WW2 but you know what I mean) I think they can live along side one another quite happily.

I had a good blast on the WaW beta last night and finished with a session on COD4. I think I'll be playing both.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

agreed i think COD4 is just too darn good to be resigned to the shelf.

It will be interesting to see if Infinity Ward release a new map pack after WaW how the numbers online will change.

Love them both

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

Half the excitement for me with the WaW beta is that it's like a new map pack. It's a breath of fresh air exploring new levels and being forced to use new guns and changing tactics. Loving the tanks and killing the dogs...I'm not good enough to send them out yet

I do think Infinity Ward have missed a good opportunity for a complete set of new maps and weapons, rather than just the 4 maps they put out.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

Despite not having played the beta, I will most probably be sticking with COD4. It has ruined gaming somewhat for me as I don't really like any other games because of it.

However, for me to stick with it, it would have to retain a decent amount of online gamers, if it turns into a relative ghost town and everyone has migrated, then I don't want to be hanging around ages waiting for a game. That being said, COD4 has seen off all comers, and is still going strong.....so it wouldn't surprise me seeing everyone coming back after a month or so. It needs new content though.

I think the biggest obstacle to it is the co-op on COD5, I can see quite a few people being interested in that.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I generaly play a few genres at the same time...

ATM.

FPS - CoD4
Racing - NFS:MW
Sport - TW09
Silly - Scene it? LCA

I will certainly be getting WaW as soon after launch day as I can get to Bostonia but I think CoD4 will still crop up on my playlist every now and then.

GoW2 will make an appearance when the Lovely Mrs Spammy buys it for me (Or lets me buy it), could be around Chrimbo me thinks!

I may have to go back to Forza2 or GriD. when I return NFS:MW to Codehead

Spamout

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I am, had my fix with COD4 and can't see what COD:WoW is going to bring other than new maps and a few different bits and bobs here and there. Feels more like a COD 4.5 and after IW release the different game modes and possibly new maps is it worth upgrading?

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I've got the Beta of COD 5 and It seems quite good. Bit dissapointed by the maps as they seem quite open?!

Is there going to be Search and Destroy in COD5?

I love COD4 and all I play is Search and Destroy. I think IW should release more maps for it though.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I will be keeping COD4 and playing every now and then, but for me its got to be Far Cry 2 thats going to take over, Now ive played COD5 which just feels like everyone else has said a new skin for COD4 and a rubbish one at that im going to wait for it to go cheap just so i can do the single player co-op.

I'm sorry if you don't have the same sense of humour i do.
Geez - lighten up.
I'm probably not the only one that think these things anyway.
Getting emotional over nothing is a bit OTT.

Re: Whos going to stick with COD4?

I dont really know if im gonna be sticking with COD4 or not but i probaly will depending on how much i like COD5. Ya i think they should have released more maps maby like 10 new maps that would have made me happy but then again they probaly would just get boring again after playing them same maps over and over again.
