Sold my PS3 today cause it never gets used now and the person i sold it to brought MW2 for it. I had a quick go on it and i have to say it was quite bloody good i didn't want it to be as good as the 360 but it was if not better. Who has the flame proof jacket now ? think i will need it lol.

It's the same game except the ps3 pad is crap and the friends/lobby system is a joke on ps3.

The main reason in don't go on it was the pad was so naff compared to the 360. It was a right laugh playing on it today cause the PS3 pad is terrible to use.

bought it for ps3 first, had no end of troubles playing online so bought it for xbox and i can safely say it was a good move.

cant see any difference in the gameplay/graphics.

The pads ok but i will concede it takes alot of getting used to. I have to play with the giotek trigger adaptors otherwise i am truly uncomfortable. In terms of the actual game I notice a little difference in the GFX on some maps , the PS3 tending to show smoother textures. Partying up worked out of the box on the 360 which didn't on the PS3 however a recent patch has sorted that. Both versions are blighted by campers though

There was something in eurogamer and out the box the only real noticeable difference is the brightness (xbox needing increasing and PS3 needed decreasing - so they writer said) however their overall grading went in favour of the 360 having better lighting and other effects.

I dont know if it was me, but online seems eaiser on the PS3, i had a go on my mates and i was killing loads more people than i can on the Xbox

i definately find the grade of player worse on the ps3, even though i hate the controller i can get more kills easier

Ha! I've noticed this too. My K/D is better on the PS3 version for some reason.

In terms of graphics the games are almost identical except for the brightness, which has already been mentioned by HITMAN.

I have both consoles and have cod 4 and modern warfare 2 on both formats. I have also noticed that, I wonder if it's due to the fact that because PSN is free you might have a lot more casual players than xbox live's paid for service, so perhaps the gamers on there are a little bit more hardcore and take it a bit more seriously.

Yeah, I think it's true too. My gold cross cod 4 account is on ps3, and the standard of players on there is very poor to be fair.
When I jumped onto xbox I found it a lot harder lol.
It would seem a lot of better players play on xbox live.

I bought both as I wasn't sure which one to get as it was only £26.

Again I found the PS3 version easier but ended up trading it in against AC2 @ HMV for £3.99 as I would find the games were often with unbalanced teams.

If someone dropped out then the lobby wouldn't be replace them for a couple of games so I often ended up playing games of 2 against 5.

Also on my 1/2 meg broadband connection the 360 version searches through 49 50ms games in no time.

PS3 usually only found a dozen @ 100ms.

If that got fixed though I'd probably pick it back up and get rid of the 360.

Seriously? Is that even possible for you to get more kills bearman. ha

I can't imagine COD on a PS3 pad. I've yet to pick up Killzone and try out the 'cod patch' but think I'm gonna give COD4 or MW2 a rent for a week just for a laugh.
