This will probably seem like a silly question, but I'm a bit confused about FFA winstreaks. My assumption was that the streak value was a measure of how many times a player had placed first in in consecutive games, however this doesn't appear to be the case. According to the game, I have a win streak of 27 which means it can't work the way I assumed as I've definitely not come first that many games in a row (I'm lucky if I place first even two games in a row!). Can anyone clarify how this value is calculated?

Top 3 finish counts as far as I know. I'm not sure if you have to win one every so often or something.

I'm also not sure what happens when it throws you into a game which has 30 seconds to go and if this counts or not.

the win streaks seem to work for other games but ffa they dont seem to be at the moment, i have only been playing ffa and i have won 16 but it also says my win streak is 16 which is incorrect, the top 3 places the other poster is talking about is for the ffa challenge in your barracks where a number of top 3 places are needed to complete that particular challenge, i have placed in countless 2nd and 3rd places and they have not registered on my leaderboard win streak obviously because they are not wins.

I think the way it works is, if you finish 2nd or 3rd it counts as a loss but won't end your win streak. Neither will it end coming into a game late.

If you play an entire game and come in fourth your win streak is over.

i have played 166 FFA matches and had 16 wins, these wins are spread randomly across those 166 matches, i have had many 2nd's and 3rd's but many lower places as well, so in your theory my 16 win streak must of had all 2nd and 3rd places in between! and i can be fairly sure that has never happened i am far from being that good

sure mate i remember ya, thanks for the compliment but am middle of the road at best.

i dunno theres just something funny happening with the FFA win streak stat which doesn't seem to be happening with the friends on my list that play mainly team games!!

you might be right, my streak's still going - around 450 at the moment. still got a long way to go before i beat my win streak on cod4 though..
