hey guys,

have been playin MW2 since release and on average iv been gettin 700-1000 points a round but last night was getting 2000-4000 a round?? i wasnt getting more kills than usuall or anything like that so thought they might of been doin double XP, n e one else noticed this?

iv already come to the conclusion i wont be prestiging - to much hassle

I haven't seen a Double Points notification anywhere. Try get one "normal" kill - it will either say 100 or 200 (single or double).
Perhaps it was down to some achievement unlocks on the way, or maybe the caliber of people you were up against?

I played last night and was only getting normal points But hope they get double xp up soon

i was getting humped last night to be honest and was getting 2 grand match bonuses but you could be right if no one else noticed this

Just asked a mate who is playing (whilst Im stuck at work!) and he said it is not double XP.

I reckon the next time we will have double XP will be when the first lot of DLC comes out. I'm sure thats what they did with CoD4, and WaW to "celebrate" the maps coming out.

I haven't heard of a double XP week but I did notice I was getting alot of XP last night, on average around 2k per game which for me is astonishing

I found last night the players were not as good. As im usually rubbish but still managed to come 2nd or 3rd in the match and get quite a few points, I even managed a 15 killstreak what is good for me as im lucky to get 5 I even had a player walk straight past me and start sniping out of a window next to me, so i walked behind him and knifed him

My missus has activated the Grumpy Bint perk too. But, she's been pleasantly surprised by the improvement in my trigger finger!

I think I'm going to be the opposite with this cod. In cod4, I just prestiged once and thought 'sod doing that again', but the way this one is designed? It's addictive, with the callsigns etc! I'm actively using new perks and weapons to get the xp when I hit milestones, whereas in cod4 I just didn't have the gumption to do so. Maybe cos beingmainly a FFA player, you ranked up so much slower-this one seems to reward good FFA players more though!

Perhaps when everyone starts getting better and casual players drop out of playing, then I'll have to stick to my best class. Meantime though, I intend to do the full bhoona this time!!!

Niggles? I know multiplayer achieves can be fiddled, but I think 100g for maxing out prestige would be fair enough.

It's also annoying that I won't get my hands on my beloved ak47 until level 70 when I prstige, and it'll be gone again before you know it.

I've never had double xp, don't think? It always seems to be weekends, which is when I NEVER get on the xbox
