Guys,

1stly let me say MW2 just rocks - best game ever.

I'm doing ok on Multi-player but hate the shield in team games - what the best way to stop these brutes from battering you to death..obviously can't shoot em

Also the holographic sight looks nice but what if anything does it give over red-dot ?

Just love the bling perk - you really get hard once you have this perk

lots of ways to take out riot shield people, flash bang them an stroll round the side and stab/shoot them, grenade launcher/grenades, or just strafe and shoot them in the sides. when ive used a riot shield ive been killed from being shot in the feet!

holographic site is supposed to be more accurate than red dot and the site doesnt sway when turning but i dont see much difference between them

shoot them in the feet at least thats what i used to do on Rainbow six vegas, Flash and shoot

Best method i've found so far...
Throw Semtex onto the shield and stand back - took 4 out with this method with 1 grenade
Unfortunately you only get 1 Semtex granade

In a Domination game on Sub Base yesterday there were a few people on the other team messing about with riot shields.

Could be trippin' but swear i managed to take a few of them out just by shooting straight at them with my SCAR. I did have FMJ bullets equipped, which i assume made the difference?

i'm not convinced the riot shield is really the way to go on any of the games. it's a bit clumsy and isn't very effective from what i've seen. i've always made a mental note of players who have used it and checked out their stats at the end. not very impressive is the conclusion. better off without it i'd say.

in terms of the sight, i know the holographic is meant to be superior to the red dot, but i think that's a load of pap. i need a sight on every gun i use, and i've tried em all pretty extensively with my Scar, and i'd say the holographic was the hardest to use, and least helpful. steer clear i would say.

you can use the shield to good effect on domination in particular, I can use it and end up in positive K/D and a load of points as i can get the positions. people don't use the shield right they think that you have to have the shield out all the time, the idea is to use it when you need it e.g. when you get pinned down or capturing a position.

One tip if you are using the standard setup, swap out the 2 guns for the first one you find as they are rubbish! then you have a regular class but with a mobile hiding spot!

One of the things i like about it is that when the shield is on your back it stops bullets so you only have to then worry about straight ahead, to the left / right, windows and rooftops piece of cake

not too sure what the point of the holographic sight when you have a red dot? i have had it on and thought i may as well use the red dot.

I played a game of Team Deathmatch where the entire team was using Riot Shields, huddling together like Spartan's or something. Was hilarious!

A couple of people on the opposing team with Semtex equipped would sort them right out...
