I can understand the arguement for HQ (where it is a bit annoying if everyone just goes for kills and ignores the HQ) but with S&D wiping out the other team is just as valid as a tactic as waiting for them to plant the bomb then getting killed whilst trying to diffuse it, so what's the difference between a "Proper hardcore player" and anybody else who wants to play the game? I have to admit I always try and plant the bomb if I'm on the attacking side, but surely the object of the game as a defender is to wipe out the attacking side, so going for kills makes sense? Nice work IW.
More likely IW just didn't want some game modes to allow you to rack up the points quicker than others, which does make sense, but IMO a S&D kill is worth more than a FFA kill as you actually have to worry about getting killed with no respawns.
