Re: Killstreaks

UAV, Care package , attack chopper

I have the perk on which means i get them 1 kill early than i normally would .

i.e UAV =2 kills instead of 3

Seem's to work well had the stealth bomber out last night

Re: Killstreaks

i'm using the care package, got the chopper gunner off it last nite also precision bomb drop and pave low, have a few others unlocked but find the first chopper one naff, next one to unlock will be AC130 or chopper gunner, think i might go for chopper gunner.

did have the hardline perk on but now using cold blooded.

Re: Killstreaks

What is a pave low? I saw it used a few times last night by other peeps, but saw no effect.

Also, whats the best counter to a Harrier/chopper if you don't have a rocket launcher? Do you just have to cower?

Re: Killstreaks

I was playing a game last night, there was a helicopter and two harriers by the looks of it (didn't think that was possible)

Anyway, my whole team just kept spawning and dying as they were all hovering around our spawn point. Was a right pain in the ass.

That seems to be the way it's going to go.

Several games now I've been spawn killed 4 or 5 times in a row by the chopper hanging around an outside spawn point and there is nothing you can do about it because you're dead before you even take a step.

It's a heavily armoured helicopter, it usually quite effective.

To counter choppers/ harrier I have a specific class set up, with a stinger missile and the perk that hides you from UAV and helicopter.

I like to go into battle equiped with - Flask of tea, Jam sandwiches and some of them chocolate coated animal biscuits...

Otherwise UAV, Care Package, Precision Airstrike...but thinking of changing the last one.

I'd swap out the Precision Airstrike for the missile - much more effective (unless I'm doing it wrong).
Also, I don't bother with UAV for the simple reason that someone else always seems to get one anyway...

You could use the Insertion Flare Perk for this annoyance?

Re: Killstreaks

Just started using Care Package, Emergency Airdrop & Chopper Gunner

Airdrop is ridiculous in one airdrop the other day i got Harrier Stike, Chopper Gunner, Predator & UAV Must have been hell on the other side once i call ed them all in!

My normal Killstreak are, Care Package, Harriers, Chopper Gunner

Not unlocked the nuke yet as i cant see me using it alot altough i have gone past a 25 kill streak which was annoying!

the most annoying thing to MW2 so far for me.
utterly ridiculously irritating. some of these killstreak perks are just too good and completely ruin the game sometimes!

No one should ever get killed by Air support more than once or twice in this game, yes they have made them very powerful, but its now extremly easy to take them out, the second i hear the enemy has something in the air or im killed by Air support i switch to a class i have set up just for the occasion!

Down Boy!

RPD, Grip, FMJ
Stinger/Javelin
Marathon
ColdBlooded
Cant remember the 3rd perk

With Cold blooded your undetectable by UAV and Air support so you can move freely and with the Javelin or stinger one hit takes down harriers, pavelows and even AC130 with ease, once its down switch back and carry on

The faster people catch onto this online the better, the amount of times my team has been getting hammered by air support until i take it down is worrying!

i agree with guns, i always keep a spare heavy duty class for taking down harriers/choppers, must really pee off the person that got it

does the javelin get fooled by the flares let off by the chopper? i dont think one of those has missed the target yet

Yeah i know you agree with me cos its a pain in the ass when your on the other team! All we do is shoot down each others air support

I also think they should do a burnout style snap shot with the vision cam too, take one when someone gets an AC130 -> and then one appprox 7.4 sec later when i blow it out the sky with my javelin -> id love to see my victims faces!

I`m glad I`m not the only one who used to do that on regular occasions just to change to a class with the weapons needed to bring down a chopper!

Sadly that is indeed correct. I would imagine that should also go for the emergency airdrop too.

With the care package you get one random killstreak perk, with emergency airdrop you get 4 (yes FOUR)!
