MW3 Double XP Weekend (20th - 23rd April)

I'm not playing it at present but just read this on Twitter that may be of interest to those of you still torturing yourselves by playing this:
Quote:
@MW3Updates: #MW3 Collection 1 PC release date to be revealed this week and Double XP for all platforms begins this Friday at 2 am PST.
Enjoy

This very much this.

Think they need to mix it a little and reward the players that don't need to rank up but could do with a little help with weapon exp.
90k exp just for 30 to 31 is alot especially for the crappier guns.

How coincidental that the weekend there is meant to be a COD boycott on the 20th they announce a double xp weekend

Gamers Threaten MW3 Blackout on April 20th

They should have had a double weapons XP. Anyone interested in the game enough to want to boycott it would likely be prestige 10/15 already.

Double Weapons XP is worth its weight in gold.

You have to laugh, why dont they just stop playing the game full stop!!!

Its like saying 'I'm not playing your game today because it doesnt work, but i'll be back on tomorrow though'

You never know might be all the plums who decide to take a day off, may be a good day of MP.

The only way these people will change things is if you hit them where it hurts most, the wallet.

Haha, the wallet, they'll still PR the crap out of it. "ELITE: A HUGE SUCCESS" "MW3: STILL GOING STRONG"

or some other retarded newsline to fool the masses into buying it. What irks me is they are still selling MW2 and BO at nearly the same price as when they first came out... as if the games weren't hacked or exploited to hell and back and are still supported heavily.

The prices I'm looking at for COD4-BO are: 19,18,25,30

With MW3 being 39.

Same here. They could have shown a little innovation and done Double Weapon XP weekend instead but guess that doesn't pull the noobs to play a bit more rather than a load of us wanting to rank up guns instead.

But if they are doing this solely as an underhanded means to thwart the boycott the sensible approach would have been to have a joint double weapons and standard double XP weekend to get everyone incited.

Probably even chuck in a 'if you manage to earn 100,000 XP in this weekend we will give you an extra token too' They gave everyone a token at Christmas so it is possible.

Or even do a Black Ops trick and have Dome 24/7 weekend or something.

They could have made it so everyone would want to play the game if they put some ingenuity to this.

This is the first call of duty where double XP feels like a so what thing to me. It was unmissable for me with Blops and all Cods earlier.

I remember I even booked holidays from work for the Blops double XP weekends - so how sad is that. I wouldn't dream to do it for MW3.

They shouldn't have done the boycott this weekend seeing as IW will say it's only double xp because of Collection 1 being released on PS3.

Dome 24/7 would have been fun but IW never use Treyarch's good ideas, just the other way around.

Actually this weekend is the prefect time to boycott, it goes against the release of the DLC which is what I thought it was the reason behind the boycott.
Get everyone to stop playing the game during what we all knew was gonna be a double exp weekend anyway.
Still see alot of people getting the DLC but meh I won't be getting it anytime soon, £11 is way too much.

The maps are seriously all terrible so don't buy them anyway.

Many people here were ridiculing me when I said this on getting them for the 360 and saying I hate every map pack release.

Then those same people said the same on getting their hands on them.

I do criticise map pack maps a lot as usually they are just sub par sniper catering maps. But when they are good I will acknowledge it.

Salvage was one of the best maps in MW2. As was Trailer Park.
Hazard was one of the best maps in Blops
Broadcast and Killhouse are literally my joint favourite maps in COD4. And Chinatown was superb too.
And the same goes for Battery, Revolution and Breach. I actually went from zero to prestige 6 65 on the 360 playing those three maps S&D over and over and over again for a few months after reaching Prestige 10 on the Ps3.

I stopped at 6-65 as this was when Treyarch changed the Map pack mode from just those three maps to the 9 maps and I hated Nightfire, KneeDeep and Station with a passion.

So trust me when I say the MW3 maps are a parcel of s**te

Or, if you really want to waste your money you can download Blops from the play station store for £47.99

overwatch is good though, don't get many snipers on there, and if you do then they are probably on the crane with a TI

Are we talking about the same map? I am talking about Cliffside redone as a golf course.

Cliffside was one of my favourite WaW maps. And the change to a golf course was nice.
