God I'm angry: Hijacked Care Drop !

Just been playing domination and have switched one of my killstreaks to a sentry gun. Didn't realise you got it as air drop and some yank supposed team-mate nicked it whilst I was standing there!

I stopped using care packages because they aren't usually great and team-mates try to nick them, why would you do that? sure he doesn't know me from Adam but why would you do that! I've had to get 5 kills to get the drop only to be stopped in my path by some numpty, God I'm

mad.

The worst is when they drop the crate out of bounds so you can't get it.
3 times this has happened to me now.

Dont throw the flare inside a building or too close to the edge of the map then...

I've been pondering care package etiquette: If its an enemy package then its fair game. If its for a player on your team and there is no one waiting for it then I will ask if anyone made a drop. If no one answers then I steam in. If I am on a streak and I get a drop I will fall back into a quieter part of the map to call it in. I don't get players that will chuck that flair into the biggest fire fight and then moan about missing out on it or someone else grabbing it.

Yeah but in the Airport it's difficult and if i throw it in the middle of a map I tend to get killed and someone robs it.

You can shoot out the glass and receive drops through the roof

In airport the ceiling is mainly glass so you can receive drops inside. I always throw the flare right at my feet whilst looking down, so it doesn't roll away to the edges.

I agree, if I get killed trying to pick it up then better a teammate gets it than the enemy.

Not sure if you guys ever play Michael Myers in COD but you often end up spectating if your killed early. If the host activates free mode in the game setup you can fly about the map anywhere you want. You end up cursing yourself for not shooting out the glass in the roof as you cant float your camera through it

I feel your pain, the amount of times I am waiting for my care package and see 2-3 other players waiting over my shoulder to Hijack it

Might have to play HC so at least I can kill them

I accidentally stole someone on my teams care package last week. In the heat of the battle I saw the red smoke and a package dropped right in front of me. I'd just killed an enemy and thought I was stealing his drop, but after I grabbed it some American started shouting at me for nicking his prize! Didn't have my mic on so couldn't apologise but if you're reading this, sorry dude!

Enemy care packages are red on the radar, your teams are green

If i'm honest I can see why people do it. Is it any different than say seeing someone on your team shoot a guy down, the guy goes in to last stand and you finish him off before your team mate gets a chance? I can't say it would particularly bother me if people did either.

I'll take any care package worth taking if no one else is, I don't care if it belongs to a team mate or not. If you call in a care package and die, don't expect it to be there once you've run across the map looking for it

That being said, if a nearby team mate calls in a care package and it lands near me I'll usually defend him until he takes it

I had someone today eyeing up my care package. I made sure he didn't get a chance, but nxt time I might not be so lucky.

There should be a rule that if a teamate starts fingering your package, you can stab the judas in the back!

Ermmm... This is supposed to be a team game (unless you're playing free for all). The goal is not to get the most kills for yourself or to achieve the best k/d ratio. The goal is for your team to win! Therefore it does not matter who from your team uses the care package

The person who drops the care drop gets priority, ie. if I am 50% picking it up but then the person who called the care drop starts to pick it up my action gets canceled.

I don't use this perk but in all honesty I would just laugh if a teammate stole it and call him a cheeky monkey (ruder version) and get on with it!

I don't understand how you can get wound up by it. (and that is coming from someone who gets really annoyed when I get killed!)

I think care packages are fair game and I will try to steal any care package dropped by someone stupid enough to do it near others.

I always go to a quiet place in the map and drop it, never had one stolen

Just like people steal your second chance/final stand type kills, I see no difference in it then.

If a teammate does steal a care package you do get 250xp as its been 'rescued' from the ememy picking it up.

I usually slope off to a quiet part of a map and wait.

Then it turns out to be Counter UAV....not really what i wanted!

Granted, but it's not in the spirit of things for someone to half-inch your package before you can get it. It is you who have earned it after all.

Yeah, it's just common courtesy really. It is only a game but i try to behave in a way that I would wish my team mates to behave towards me in real life.

I don't like others getting their hands on my package.

I got emergency air drop set, so 4 get dropped off. Dont care who gets one as I get points for sharing, so long as its not the enemy!

Airport is the hardest, normally go outside near the fence, but have had some stuck on the wing of the aircraft, and one got stuck yesterday embedded in one of the luggage crates. Nobody could claim it so I just waited and picked a few enemies off
