Just got my first AC 130 and did not have a clue what to do, took me ages to find the zoom.
Is there a link to what buttons control all the guns.

There's a zoom!? I've only had it once but thought it was great fun!

R1 is fire, triangle is change gun (different size rounds) and think square is toggle thermal but not sure and left analog to aim.

You have to lead shots as it takes time to reach the ground. There are 3 rounds large (120 i think), medium (40) and small (25). Each gun has quite a lenghty reload time, you can only fire 1 large round before reloading, 4 medium rounds and not sure how many small. Basically the most effective way is to fire the largest round at groups of people or people near cover and whilst the large round is reloading you press triangle to switch to the medium round and fire 4 shots at a single target. Then press triangle twice to switch to the large round (skipping the small round) which will have finished reloading and repeat the process. so firing order is 1 large round, 4 medium, 1 large, 4 medium etc

I never knew there was a zoom either! I've had it a couple of times got a few extra kills out of it, it's best used on open maps but people will still run around like legless chickens so you'll get the kills :D

AFAIK, there isn't a zoom as such - if you change to the smaller guns then your viewpoint is narrower due to the range/effectiveness of the weapon. I've only had the AC130 in MW2 once but I'm pretty sure it operates exactly the same as the single player mission in COD4.
