Special Ops or Zombies?

Like many others I'm really enjoying MW2 but missing my zombie fix. Special Ops is a great addition but I was just thinking how good a MW2 zombies mode could have been. WAW zombies was great but imagine having all the modern weapons at your disposal, using a red-dot sight to pop those maggot sack heads would have been so much fun!

So, is everyone loving Spec Ops or do they prefer Nazi Zombies?

As a side note Activision has just released COD Zombies game for iPhone...

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Nazi Zombies >>>>>>>>> Special Ops so much!!

Special Ops isn't as fun as the zombies was... it's just another thing that has a % Completed to it.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Zombies with mw2 weapons would be immense. Shame IW won't do it. Enjoying special ops, highlight being the "death from above" style level. Loved zombies though & will probably keep going back to it.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

I never liked Zombies, and thought it was abit of a copout when adding a little extra to the game. This could be due to me not playing it slot. I just found it boring.

Which level is that, or at least how far into Special Ops is it?

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Spec ops for me everytime, simply because it's winnable.

I do miss the 4 player co op of zombies, such a shame spec ops is limited to 2 players.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

The best thing about Zombies was joining up with fellow AVF'ers and having a bit of banter.

I really liked Zombies, but I'm loving MW2 and not missing my zombie fix. It's really easy to get into games with your mates (even if they don't want you there ).

Special Ops again I believe will only appeal until it's been completed 100%, whereas zombies it was always 'Let's tryand beat Level **'

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

SpecOps for me just for the variety and "winability". I never bothered with any of the CODWAW DLC but Zombies got a bit boring and I could never keep to the strategies.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Zombies did nothing for me.. As every new map pack came along, a had another go, and just never 'got it'.. It was too slow and I just didn't enjoy it.

However, the lack of a 'Matchmaking' service in SpecOps means that you can't really compare the two..

So, neither are working for me right now.. Which is a shame as I sure they are both great in their own right!

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Just downloaded the iPhone COD Zombies game and have to say it's actually not bad, in fact probably the best iphone shooter I've played.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Spec ops or zombies???

I think I would have to say Uncharted 2 co op survival or objective beats both (there is always one smart ar$e)

Although to keep inside the parameters of the question I think spec ops as the variety of choice but once it is complete I am not sure I will be going back to it.

But Zombies as that "just one more go" about it.

So I think I am going to keep my perch on top of this nice fence for this one

You open it up after the first batch of special op levels. Great fun, not sure which I prefer, being on the ground with the spectre raining down canon fire on the enemy or doing the raining Very satisfying either way - the sound of the spectre firing is quite superb also when you're on the ground and hear the shells whizzing past your head

Edit: it would be superb if IW did a zombie story mode and you're a special ops clean up crew with access to things like the spectre, claymores etc.

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

The only zombie map I truly enjoyed was Der Reise. Never really got into the others. Loving special ops, 45 stars down!

Re: Special Ops or Zombies?

Zombies was just endless fun whereas with special op's there is an objective and once you have got the 69 stars can you really see yourself going back and playing it again?

Having that said that, special op's all the way for me At the moment its just too much fun.

Well if you want to mention Uncharted 2... it's that all the way for me as well .
