Friends Joining Session

Don't you just love the 'Join Session' option in MW2 ......

Your friends see you on MW2 click join session then get put into your game on the other team! I don't know about anyone else I just have a great urge to hunt them down and kill them .

What sort of 'Friend' am I?

So here's an apology from the heart .... Goldwater666, Supernovasaint, siblades, Marky575 .... I didn't mean it ....... honest!

Re: Friends Joining Session

I "join sessioned" into a game with ActionDefence last night, I was larking around in front of him and some guy on the other team sneaked behind us and killed us both - oops!

I never bother playing randoms anymore - joining or being invited into AVF/BFAM/A2A teams is a lot more fun (even though I'm usually the LVP ).

Re: Friends Joining Session

This can be really handy but you'd think common sense would dictate that it would put you in the same team as your friends. Doesn't always do that from my experience.

A problem is that COD stalking is really easy. My friend has someone who is on her block list for general stalker like and crazy behaviour. As this person has other people she plays with regularly on his list he joins their sessions in the hope she's playing there. Not a lot she can do to stop it really apart from to vocally tell him where to go.

To me though, pros outweigh the cons and it's a good addition.

I'm pretty sure it's because there is only space in the opposite team.

I'd rather get owned by my AVF mates than some 12yr old trash talking kid though.

Yeah it is annoying, especially as I always join the games that they are winning so I end up getting killed loads and then lose the game too!

Thats was funny - the cry of "Marky is on the other team" went out and we all forgot about the HQ and went "575" hunting

Funny about those HQ games last night, when we where getting to 130 to nil (after holding the first two HQ's for max points) half the other team would quit out.

Although we did get (just a sec while I think of the right word!) "Pwnd" on derailed

Just don't get mad if you keep getting killed by fellow AVF'ers!!! ... we don't mean it.

We always back out after the match and get all the AVF'ers together.

Re: Friends Joining Session

I discovered this feature over the weekend and joined many of my friends games.. Since I knew they weren't aware of this feature, I spent my time tracking them down to 'show them' that I was in the game with them. This resulted in a LOT of deaths on my side, because I wasn't concentrating.

I love this feature, but I need to learn NOT to try and find my friends in the game, otherwise my stats are going to be badly affected.

Jon

Re: Friends Joining Session

Last night 'Joined Session' only to be getting shot from all directions, Super, Goldie, Marky!!

My team did win though, but I was awful.

Quick re-group we were all back on the right side. Only then we still got hammered by a few teams.
