i've not had a signal problem with cod (apart from the servers going down) since day one, now ive downloaded this patch my signal bars drop down to 1 bar, coincidence, i thinks not.

let me know if anyone else has same problem

Another 15mb update...what does it do?

A minute? Mine took 6 minutes when it should have only been 30 seconds!

Well had a terrible time tonight with lag/changing host etc.

I dont know what the update is but even the menu's are slow in responding when i move the higlighter up and down. Its the same when i went to invites. I press down nothing happens try it again nothing happens, then all of a sudden it jumps 5 people and then continues to be very slow in responding.

Now i dont know if these probs are 1.04 related but i never had them yesterday.

I have played most of the day and up until the update multi was running very well.Afterwards it has been a nightmare to join a game in a party.I think we managed about 15 games from 8 till 3.Only 2 of which had more than 2 bars for any of us.PSN is a blinking joke.

Not an IP as IP v4 addresses only go to 255, but guess you really did not need to know that

Its the version number.. 1.01 was 1.1.xxx.xx (can't remember what the x's were)

1.02 was 1.2.506.0

1.03 was 1.2.507.0

1.04 is 1.2.508.0


Clearly, looking at the version numbers 1.02 was quite major as it took the 'version' from 1.1 to 1.2.. But since then these patches have just increased the 'sub version' number, so I suspect they are VERY minor fixes!

Looked on the IW site early this morning and last blog entry from 14/11/09 said something about additional game modes but I've no idea which version of the patches that referred to.

Given the frequency and relative small size of these patches, are they being applied to the matchmaking servers?

Otherwise would they need to be "cleared" by Sony, which would take around 2 weeks?

That wasn't in a patch they just added them to the servers.

My connection was s**t last night. I was hosting rooms and other people were on yellow/red bar. Normally when I host people are at least on 3 bars!

Not sure if it has got anything to do with the patch or not.

I think the patch was to make my weapons even more ineffective against everyone i play against Its working bloody great as well, top download so far
