Blu_ray, get a USB headset then. Much more comfortable, sort of thing a telephone receptionist would wear with a boom mike you can fold down to your mouth. I had one free with SOCOM navy seals, was rather good.

a few here

have a look at this one. Its over the ear, wireless (charged via ps3), and has a longer battery life than the official ps3 one. All under £20 .

Re: PS3 Headset for MW2

iv got a usb logitech headset and its really good, the little muffler on the end of the mic is important as it takes out all the background noise from the tv etc, so you wont be causing any of the echo's you sometimes hear when playing, its really annoying.

im not 100% sure about the bluetooth headsets, as they used to suffer from interference, but alot of my friends with bluetooth headsets have a distorted sound when they speak.

i cant remember the model of mine but it was around £20 they probably have a newer version now.

Re: PS3 Headset for MW2

Blu_ray I must say sorry for my bad language when playing, i think i had my mic on the first we played together there..

Anyways i got my ear piece mic thingy from maplin cost 15 quid and it can be charged with the PS3/Mains and also car..

Nice job and its fairly cheap.. I know the head sets are a better job but if you dont want to spend the money coming upto xmas this is a good bet.

I will get the brand name of it for you if needed..

EDIT: the brand name of it is Mercury. heres the link to it http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=227981

Re: PS3 Headset for MW2

I use the bluetooth head set that came with a Sony walkman I bought last year, the only problem is that i've lost the flipping mains charger for them, and it's Sony's typical random voltage one isn't it....... 3V! ***!

Still, on the plus side it gives me about 14 hours talk time and about 60 hours standby time, plus they keep their charge for months and months without having to be plugged in.

They retail for about £69 if you bought them on their own, I think they're the BT-21's.
Very good over ear headphones, and no interference at all, crystal clear audio too.

I bought one of the Jabra BT125s like what they were shipping with Warhawk.
It hangs off the ear, it doesn't get inserted into your ear and is very comfortable.

I play really long sessions and the battery doesn't last more than 4-5 hours?

I picked up the Sony Brand one. It sounds better and has a crazy long battery life, but the ear peice goes in the ear and can be painful over time. Some suggest hanging it upside down on the ear to stop some of the discomfort. It has a nice large mute button on the side which is very useful.

Try this.

Bought mine recently and can only recommend it.

Mute button (disconnects the headset, but as good as).
Volume up and down
Charges via USB

Hope this isn't a change in direction for the thread but... Are there any options in the game so that i do not have to listen to people on there headsets?

Listening to somebody elses music in between games or some guy coughing ruins the atmosphere for me personaly.

Cheers.

In game press Select and then press X on the offender. In the lobby highlight the offender, press X and select "mute".

Best thing to do is go to options then voice volume and put it to minimum, you never have to mute anyone again and don't have to hear them...ever.
