Sainsburys £26 offer - Now Expired.

When i got it i asked the staff and they said that is how much it would be from them, not a limited offer.

I was wondering this too. I thought I'd heard the same; that it was their standard price, but one thing that may indicate otherwise is that online retailers are pushing their prices back up. Amazon dropped theirs to £32 at launch (I had assumed in response to the low supermarket prices) but they are back up to £44.99 now which does make me wonder if the supermarkes are about to re-align their own prices. This is obviously complete conjecture based upon my observations of recent price trends and is in no-way based upon any inside information so there's a high probability that I'm completely wrong

Dunno about Sainsburys but when I bought mine in Morrisons the guy who sold it to me said it was limited offer. He had bought a copy for himself while it was cheap even though he wasnt getting his xbox until christmas.

thats good to know.

need to buy a copy for the darkside (xbox) as i cant seem to play online from 5pm onwards whch is when i finish work.

will have to pop to local sainsburys now n see if they have any more stock in.

I just called Sainsbury's to check (I have a copy but I wanted another for a Christmas present). Predictably they didn't have any in stock BUT they confirmed that the offer price finished yesterday so it's no longer available for £26.

They couldn't confirm the new price because there wasn't one to scan but she did say she thought it was around £45 which was a credible answer.

Not sure about Morrisons but I'd be surprised if they kept their offer on any longer than Sainsbury's

The advert in the papers stated the offer was until the 15th November.

just went to local sains and it been put to £44.99
(although the website still says £26 they dont price match their website) Strangely this is the same with gamestation.

rang the local asda and it has been put to £37.81

looks like im gunna have to cex my ps3 copy now

You could just order it from the Website then if its still listed as £26

Managed to get mine on sat at Sainsbury's. There were none on display when I looked apart from a couple of boxes with a "out of stock" ticket on the front. I then saw some 10 year old kid grab one of those and run off to the customer services counter and as I walked past, I saw them pull a copy out for him and his mum from beneath the counter.... So that's where they keep them!

Didn't realise the offer ended on sunday or I would have sent my wife in to get another copy (one per customer).

Yeah, that's what I thought. At first the assistant thought my copy was for the kid and started hesitating and then her colleague told her it was for me and she said "Oh, yes, you're over 18". They were sticking to the age restrictions although very loosely. The mother was so obviously buying it for her son seeing as he was jumping up and down like an excited lunatic.

But.....more importantly you did manage to get a copy ! Which branch of Sainsburys was it ? Other members might want to chance finding a copy there.

Oh yeah, I got my copy and so did the person behind me who also stumbled across the assistants pulling copies out from beneath the counter. This was in the Edinburgh Cameron Toll store but it's kinda irrelevant now as the £26 offer is over.

Wish I had made an effort to get an extra copy as my mate wanted one as well.
