Nad T550 DVD Help

Hi everyone

I have a NAD T550 DVD player. The video output options on my version are s-video, Scart with RGB, and composite.

My TV does not have a Scart input.

So I am trying to make use of the component inputs on the TV and have purchased a cable that runs from the Scart output of the DVD player and splits into the component video and audio on the other end to plug into the TV. The audio works fine, however there is no picture.

Is it even possible to simple run the converter cable from Scart into component? Just running straight s-video or composite work fine but I am trying to get the best quality.

Any help and advise much appreciated

thank you

You need an RGB to Component Converter to connect from your RGB Scart to the TV Component input.

He may still have it for sale.

As Mr Incredible says you require an RGB2Component converter and JS Tech is arguably the best option.

The cable you own only works if the SCART Out on your Source (DVD) can be set to Output YUV (Component) that info will be in the User Manual!

Have you confirmed the Component Input on your TV supports 50Hx signals - many non HD Display devices only supported 60Hz signals via Component which would limit you to R1 discs!
