Anyone successfully changed package

Hi
I have been a Homechoice customer for several years but only for broadband, I never used the TV service as I have Sky.

I want to downgrade my package to just the 8mb broadband. (I have a BT line). Having read the problems experienced by others I am concerned that I will also encounter problems. Has anyone been able to make this simple change without problems. If so what did you do. Thanks

Have you been migrated to Tiscali yet?
If not, Homechoice don't do BB only.
Once you've migrated in to Tiscali (either invited of forced) you will be able to downgrade your package to a BB only.

Thanks for the reply. How do I know if I have been migrated. I received a letter from Tiscali but I am on the same package and have the same HC silver modem.
What I have noticed is that the modem doesnt boot instantly, I have to reboot the modem several times before it connects.

My question was more about the admin proceedures to change without all the hassle of losing connection etc.

It sounds like you're still on the HC service. If you've received the letter inviting you to migrate to Tiscali, then get that underway, if not you'll have to wait until we've migrate you. Once you've been migrated, you can call the cancellations line and have the TV service removed.
