Homechoice - awful customer service

Whats with Homechoice at the moment?

Been on the phone for a total of 2 hours and 20 mins since April 15th trying to pay for my bill. Still can't get through.

I don't do direct debit because I have had 4 in the last year returned because Tiscali have taken the money earlier than the date chosen. When you're on a budget you like to know when direct debits come out. I have DDs for about 8 other companies and all take the money on the date specified (3 days after payday for safety purposes). Homechoice always did it the proper way. Tiscali basically owe me £120 in bank fees. Shoddy business.

I can't talk to Tiscali or use their interactive page as I am "Homechoice", so I have to wait for more hours on the phone now for all services. There will be hell to be pay if I am cut off as I've already had a final demand.

Does not bode well for me moving house in 2 weeks and also the "upgrade".

I am told i will be getting the same package I have now when my Homechoice gets migrated. If not, my "upgrade" will consist of paying the same for less channels.

The only alternative is Virgin I think. Satellite not allowed down the road I'm moving too.

I'll second that. TV feed's gone on the blink and haven't been able to get through to customer services for an hour. Never had problems with Homechoice....thanks Tiscali!

Well now.

Because I'm moving they can't "migrate" my package.

I've been told to cancel Homechoice free of charge, then start a new contract with Ticali. But I don't want a new contract. I want my existing contract and package that would have been migrated. But because I'm moving I'm being penalised.

iirc the existing package you have with HC does not exist on the Tiscali service. You should have had a letter telling you what packages are available.

Clarry have you considered an in-loft dish? I hear they can give good results in certain circumstances. Had a horrible time with Tiscali, Sky is so effortless and pain free I wouldn't consider going back even if you paid me!
