had my new install today, installer did a good job, and as i was first of the day he gave me the only samsung v+ box he had

anyway, been trying to set up my signal to a tv upstairs, i have a coax already wired in my walls so no need for a wireless sender, managed to set it up using the vcr method but this now looks really bulky in my set up

so my question is...
1. can i buy a simple rf modulator from maplins or ebay to replace the job done by the vcr?

2. also is it possible to buy anything extra to control the tv upstairs with extra remote?

Not sure about number 2. I always remember reading that on the older Virgin Media/NTL pace boxes that you couldn't do number 2 easily using the RF output as it was not a powered RF out unlike the sky boxes. So sky boxes used to work with the magic eye thingies.
Anyway...as for number 1, yes I have such a thing and have used it since day one with my Samsung V+ box. It's like THIS but check ebay as it looks like they are cheaper on there. I got mine from maplin purely since I was in there and needed one quick. Plus if it didn't work could take back.
