Virgin Media - recurring transaction

Morning everybody, my first post here.

I am having V+ HD installed on 24th Oct and just noticed on my bank account statement (on line) the £75 (supposedly one-off fee) has 'recurring transaction' against it! Has anyone else noticed this? The monthly debits are not coming out of this account so...can anyone shed any light on what this means?

Thanks. I'd hate to think this gives them the go-ahead to take more money off me when least expected.

Re: Virgin Media - recurring transaction

Hi,

Is it a direct debt?

If so can you not just cancel it on-line if the payment has already gone.

Best Regards

Chris

Re: Virgin Media - recurring transaction

This payment was not set up as a recurring direct debit, but as a one-off debit, while talking to the operator on the phone. I just thought it strange that the wording 'recurring' appeared against the transaction on my on-line statement.

Yes, I will keep an eye on my statement in future but as it took 25 minutes of ringing their number before they answered on Tuesday to get things moving, I am loath to ring again just for this query. Once I have my account number I will then post a query from their website. You cannot do this without being an account holder (I tried!)

Thanks for your replies.
