Best Hard Drive Recorder to use with Virgin??

Hi,

I'm considering getting Virgin Cable installed and would like to buy a stand alone hard drive recorder as I would prefer to pay a one off cost that be tied in to so much per month. I have had sky+ in the past and like the functionality (being able to record a programme whilst watching another, recording two progs at once etc).

My question is what would be the best unit to buy for simplicity of use and similar functionality to Sky+? An idea on cost would really help too as I need to work out whether we can afford to do it!

Have you checked out Virgin's website? Not sure you will have to pay extra each month, I don't, I just paid a one off fee for the V+HD Box. (49.00).

Or maybe I got this deal as I'm an existing customer?

Me too, i wasnt lucky enough to pay £49 i paid £75 but do not pay any extra monthly charges.
