Satellite Cable - can anyone describe the x-section view

I recently bought some satellite cable for having a wired cabletv point in my living room. However, when I cut the cable, it looks very different to a cross section of normal co-ax cable. It looks to have a number of cavities surrounding the central wire. I'm confused as to which cable to use now. I've got both but should I stick to this satellite one?

The honeycomb structure should be fine.

Satellite, Television, FM, DAB Aerial Cable, Plugs, Sockets, Connectors & Leads

Jim's Aerials - Aerials & Coax

I would make sure that you use double screeened coax,

Hi Chris,

THanks for the reply. Honeycomb is the phrase I was looking for. I'll check my cable according to the links you referenced and get the electrician to sort this out.

Thanks again.
