NTL Box and gold Plated 3m Scart lead

Hi All,

Just bought a 37 " Samsung LCD and have an NTL box. I live in N.Ireland and Virgin customers now have the Virgin box whereas older customers like me still have an NTL box.

Anyway i can run a 1 metre cable from the TV port in the NTL box into the back of the TV and everything works fine. However i want to move the box so will need a 3 m cable to reach.

I bought a 3M gold plated RGb cable and plugged it in as above and now it is telling me its getting no signal!!! Plugged the old one back in and it works fine!!

Any ideas what i am doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance

Sean

Perhaps you have to set the TV into RGB mode or plug it into a different SCART socket on the TV; many TVs with more than 1 SCART socket only support RGB on some of their SCARTs.
