Hi i have a BT home Hub the new black 1.5 version
recently every time i try to watch bbc iplayer the hub will crash Youtube etc are all fine
its just iplayer and its on all 3 of my machines 2 x windows pc's xp+vista and a macbook
has anyone else come across this?

What do you you mean by 'the hub will crash'? Signs & symptoms?

Weird. Have you a different router to try this with?

symptoms no internet connection
other router i borrowed which was a belkin pre-n is totally fine

So you lose the Internet and Broadband lights? (Sign)
Can you get to the HH's Home page on 192.168.1.254?
There have been some cases of buffer overruns when people have been using some download utilities. What level of HH firmware are you on? (Bottom of 192.168.1.254)

What's the betting this is a bug with firmware level H?

its Software version: 6.2.6.E on my HH

Yep, version E has been forced now, the only way you're not running it is if your home hub is hacked or not attached to a BT broadband line. Have you tried resetting the hub to defaults? (there's a button to do this on the 1.5, on the V1 you just hold down the wireless button till it clicks)

dont know what it was doing this but its sorted now wish i knew of a way to update the firmware myself nd i could have been using iplayer earlier
