What is BT's Home Hub Broadband like?

Hi Guys

I found out last week that on December 7th Broadbad will be switched on in my area I am so chuffed but need to see on getting a provider. We are told we will be getting 'up to' 2mb although some say we may get faster

I was thinking of going for the Total BT Home Hub package ( £26 a month, but i only pay half )

I though it would be ideal as i want to wirelessly connect my XBox 360 and PC from upstairs and use a wired connection from the Family PC downstairs

Has Anyone else got Home Hub? Is it reliable and easy to set up?

Do you have to use the phone that comes with it? I am also assuming that 40GB a month download limit is sufficent

It's reliable depending on which firmware version you use. Takes about 30secs to setup, literally plug and play. Don't bother using the install disc, all it does is install bt yahoo junkware.

No, not at all.

As for download limit, depends on your surfing habits.

PS, might wanna check your spelling of Brothers In Arms in your sig.

Theres 3 different firmwares floating about - H, K, and M. The K firmware has given alot of people (including me) alot of problems, like random disconnects. Whereas the H and M firmware are brilliant.

Think mine took about 3 weeks. You might get it quicker now, as the demand has died down.

So does the install disk update the modem/router then? I've heard that there is automatic updates for that. Appreciate any comments.
