Darren Shan

I've recently bought the first three darren shan books, the ones that have been made into a movie and thoroughly enjoyed them, buying the rest soon. Does anyone else enjoy the Vampire saga? I havent had chance to read the Demonata series yet.
Thanks

I picked up 'cirque du freak' the first of the vampire series for 10p in the book sale where i work and was addicted to them straight away. I read them all in about 2 weeks and just had to wait for the last one to be realeased the next month. I thouroughly enjoyed them all. I started the demonata series but confused myself waiting for the next book to come out so gave up for now. Will go back and try reading them all again now there's a few more out to go at
Darren Shan has released a couple of 'adult' stories as well that i've not had chance to read yet but ar supposed the be quite good. Think the first one is 'procession of the dead'

I loved the vampire series, thought it was excellent and very well written
I don't like the Demonata series as much, but I'm still reading it, on the 9th book atm.

Is this one of those series of 'young' books that is also good for adults to read?

I've read hundreds of books and sometimes the hidden gems are in the young fiction section like Garth Nix or Jonathan Stroud.

I read the wall by garth nix and didn't enjoy it much. As for the demonata series, i prefered the vampire series, apart from little bits. thanks for the replies though
