Is this the book that JK Rowling sold 7 hand written copies of and then said she would never release it so the 7 bidders paid an absolute fortune for them (admititidly for charity iirc)?

ye thats the one. It wasnt originally intended for mass release but they did anyway. It was meant to be priced around a fiver originally (£1.16 was meant to go to charity) but now its 50p from tesco, dont know how that works??

Huge fan of Harry Potter but having had the misfortune to read Beedle the Bard I'd say 50p was too much. Fortunately, it's a short book I so didn't waste much of my life.

I thought it was, but don't forget that's my personal opinion.

I guess really, for 50p you can't complain.

Basically it a set of quite simplistic stories. Very similar to the fairy tales we know but from the orge or witches point of view. And in each Dumbledore gives historical and anecdotal comment.

I just found the stories too simplistic and the attempt to switch the roles around and add the commentary wasn't enough to improve matters.
