Re: James Ellroy

I've only read The Black Dahlia but it certainly impressed me. I keep meaning to pick up some more of his books as i too like his writing style. The short, punchy sentences feel tight and lack alot of the filler prose that tends to annoy me in some areas of crime fiction. I like the PI/cop pulp novels that fall into that Chandlerian mould of story and characterisation intertwined rather than the alternating chapters that some authors tend to favour.
