Yeah, I think it would be a great idea - especially with technology such as the Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle coming more into the mainstream.

Perhaps a "downloaded book recommendation" sub-section? Or an "electronic reader" sub-section?

My Wife used to buy books galore - took up so much space, so I bought her a Sony Reader for her Birthday.

Now all her newer books are stored on a memory card. Also means she can take loads of books with her wherever she goes. Great device!

I think the wrong question has been asked. Maybe it should be "Would you actively participate in a book forum?"

Some 40% of those who avidly supported a musicians forum have never posted in it....

Not sure - depends on how it would be organised - subfolders etc.

I'm an avid reader, but I have read a few 'recommend a book' threads and lost interest in them so quickly.

For me, the problem is that it is such a wide subject and peoples taste so individual that you have to wade through so much that is not of interest to find the odd bits that are of interest.

So if it is just one section then I probably wouldn't visit it, but maybe if it has sub-categories.
