Seagal Six Pack Collection

If anyone's interested, another Steven Seagal box set has been released - containing totally different films to the last box set (Today You Die/Black Dawn/Flight of Fury/Shadow Man/Attack Force/Pistol Whipped).

It's £16.98 from Amazon UK at the moment.

I know he's getting on but I think there's quite a lot of interest in the box sets.

Please, whatever you do, don't watch Attack Force. Probably the worst film I've ever had the sorry displeasure to sit through.

Seagal is dubbed over in at least 80% of his screen time and the dubbed voice isn't even close to matching. I thought my DVD player was screwy.

A risible effort. 0/10

I've never followed any of Seagals films but watched a couple on TV recently and enjoyed them. One of them was Belly of the Beast and I can't recall what the other one was. What are his best films? I'm only aware of the Under Siege films.

All his early stuff was good. Before he had the pie fetish.

Glimmer Man was for me Seagal's last film, the films made after that are some sort of global conspiracy.

Both the Under Sieges were good. Number 2 was his last film I liked.

I've said all I have to say about Under Siege 2.

It's in one of the 'last night's viewing' threads, I think.

Ah, here it is:

Quote:
A bad movie by any stretch of the imagination. I think I only own it out of the novelty of it not being available uncut in the UK yet. It's been sat on the shelf for a good 2 years now, so finally decided to dig it out.

Not one of Warner's finest efforts, although the transfer certainly highlights all the terrible model work, budget CGI and stunt doubles. I've seen worse looking discs and the audio was quite punchy, although only available in Dolby 5.1, (that train crash at the end still sounds good, so good that it's sad to see such a laughable model onscreen).

Cut quite a bit by the BBFC back in the day, even uncut, it's very tame by today's standards,(nearly all these censored action movies are), especially of you consider that Bad Boys II is an uncut 15 and the Lethal Weapons are also now rated as uncut 15s. It'd be interesting to see what Under Siege 2 came back with ratings wise today, if Warner Bros ever did decide to have it re-classified for home release in the UK. They should release it in a double pack with the 1st one, anyone that buys it separately, needs their head tested,(wink). I mean of all the Seagal movies they own, they release bloody Nico, not exactly my first choice.

Extras consist of trailers for other Seagal movies and I'm ashamed to admit that I wish they'd release The Glimmer Man on BD. It's crap as well, but at least it's funny.

Ah, Stevie... The rot set in quite quickly.
Also, put your hand up if your rented Under Siege on VHS back in the day and
the bit where yer bird jumps out of the cake, looked a bit 'worn' compared to the rest.

lol

I think I may attempt to get all of the Seagal films on DVD (where the blu-rays aren't available). They're so cheap on Amazon/Play marketplaces and some of them are decent. I've recently done that with the Van-Damme films. It's a shame that a lot of them aren't getting blu-ray releases here, even though quite a few have been released already in the US and Germany especially.

Executive Decision is decent, mainly because Seagal's not the star.

This one is close to it. Pity the censor has been at 5 of 'em.

Picked up all my faves uncut on r1 or Aussie discs a few years ago, more bone breaking/snapping and camera lingering on bloody wounds. Great!
