As per the title really guys.

Which are the ulitmate versions of each on Standard Def DVD??

I can play any region you like but havent moved up to BD yet & wont be for sometime thanks to needing some new tyres for the Cupra so need the best standard DVD versions I can get.

There is a Special Edition Pod Casing release of Event Horizon. Its out on R2, R4 and comes with 2 discs and a thumping DTS Track. I don't know if you can still buy it as it's been out a while.

It also appears that the R2 UK Release is uncut and all other region releases are R Rated Theatrical Versions.

its the first time that I've been aware that other regions are cut.

Looks like the UK R2 Release is the one to be looking for.

So my R2 German Pod release that doesn't even have an English DTS Track is also cut.

They failed to mention the region 3 pod edition,which i have,and also has the rather superb DTS track.

Could have sworn it's uncut too.

After years of waiting for Anderson's non-existent Director's Cut, at least one internet fanboy would have shouted from the rooftops that the UK version was 'uncut'.

R1 if you want an audio commentary (which is definitely not one of Carpenter's better ones), Japanese R2 if you want DTS.

Haven't seen the Japanese release, but the R1 is superb, video & audio wise.

I found it strange that I'd never heard anything about cuts made to the film before and Rewind would normally have the cuts listed if any.

I've seen it on R1, R2 UK and R2 Germany and never noticed anything before.

I think its just a typo on dvdcompare missing out the last part of the line. I have the R1 and the R2 pod version and I haven't noticed any difference between them
