OK HERE WE GO. MY FAVORITES.
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Live at Radio City.
Superb picture and Dolby True HD. Region 1 only.
Rolling Stones. A Bigger Bang.
DTS HD Master...Recommended.
Rolling Stones. Shine a light.
DTS HD Master and True Dolby. Outstanding. My favorite.
Rolling Stones. Live at the Max.Region 1.
DTS Master Audio. Again superb transfer, the sound is exceptional. The dog is under our bed upstairs as i type.
Tom Petty in concert.
Waiting on this one from the States.
Stevie Nicks, again in the post from USA, both are supposed to be excellent...

Question

Hi,

I assume that the Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks concerts are the Soundstage recordings - I'd be delighted to know if these are region-free like the Sheryl Crow concert. I've been unable to find out.....

Any ideas?

Yes there the Soundstage Blu Rays.
According to the seller in the States there Region 1.
But, I will stick them in the Sony and see what happens.
Failing that, it,s the Tevion.

Where did you buy Tom Petty?

Another good buy:
Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis (and Norah Jones) play the music of Ray Charles

several more titles on the way...

The Kings Of Leon BD has great SQ, although the picture is a little grainy.

Just got the Killers DVD this week, great disc overall, may re-buy it on Blu Ray!

UPDATE TIME.
The Soundstage Blu Rays arrived today.
The Tom Petty (2008 single disc) is Region Free.
Plays on the 350, DTS HD Audio, stunning sound and picture.
The Stevie Nicks is Region A only, Sony had a fit !
Plays on Tevion after code change, excellent picture, but no HD soundtrack,PCM only.
Very, very pleased. Seller in States posted in separate packages, no import or vat. Just over £30 for the two.

Yeah. Not too impressed with the sound though it might be my amp trying to downgrade it from true hd to something else. PQ is pretty good though.

Where did you get the Tom Petty one, it seems to have been deleted already?

I'm thinking of getting the Sheryl Crow one when it drops down in price a little more.

But if you search on the uk site Tom Petty Blu Ray, the seller in the States comes up.
£10 ish + P/P...
Worth every penny, just finished watching it and the neighbours have been listening to it.

I'd like to see Pink Floyds P*U*L*S*E on release on BD, only it took them until the death of VHS to get round to DVD and since the concert footage was shot on low quality, it was a bit of a let down on DVD ... the extra's were nice and very interesting though.

Such a Sin ... I was at one of those last Earls Court shows, travelled down from NE Scotland with three mates, it was one of the most magical concerts of my life. The Live 8 gig was good and unique, but this must have been truly the last Pink Floyd show we'll ever see. Gilmours tired, he's an old Man ... he likes smaller gigs when he does play, and he's quite right ... he's earned it.

My memory's of the concert will forever remain though.

Even, Remember That Night is pretty poor quality for a BD, and too expensive too ... still £30 on Play

Too bad for Pink Floyd in this media.

I'm sure Roger Waters can salvage something though ... his DVD releases were always pretty good and I love his tangent on Pink Floyd as much as Gilmour's.

me thinks it was just video'ed and not filmed - so no point in a blu-ray,
I could be wrong.
