16:9 / 1:85:1 blu ray format?

Hi guys,

just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of any blu rays that are in a format where they are displayed full screen on my plasma tv.

Do any exist in this format? I dont hate the black bars but am just wondering if any of my favorites can be found in fullscreen.

That's fairly limiting but I believe there was thread started before with a lot of replies...

Children of Men and Spider-man are good examples imho.

I watched predator last night on bluray. It was in 16:9 format.

With Full Screen (16:9) you will loose part of the image from a 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 source. You DON'T want that. Check this:

Also, 1.85:1 is not 16:9. 16:9 is 1.78:1, which means you get black bars on top and below when displaying 1.85:1, unless your TV overscans (and you loose image that way).
