If the audio track was a major improvement then I would probaley upgrade but I dont think the picture can possibly be made any better, its already stunning.

Indeed. I just played Transformers HD DVD on my new Panny TH42PZ80 ( ). I'm not sure how they can improve on the video tbh, absolutely stunning IMHO. Even the audio, although its DD+ and not Dolby TrueHD is pretty special too.

OT - Im just about to cosy up and watch my 5 disc version of Blade Runner, now that should look special!

Best £5 you will ever spend mate. Not only is the BR great value, but also the restoration is spectacular, both visually and aurally. It brings a new beauty to what was an already wonderful film.

Through a combination of over enthusiasm and forgetfulness I ended up with both the BR + HD DVD version of the 5 disc set I'm keeping them both, just in case.....

Depends on the disc, I'm not sure about HDDVD capacity to hold lossless audio if it could it would be identical.

In this context, the Blu ray audio 'should' be an upgrade on the HDDVD.

Was comparing my hd & blu rays last night. I think all my hd's are DD +.
