National Treasure 2 Bluray - no 5.1 DTS fallback?!

I recently bought National Treasure: The Book of Secrets on bluray and, when playing it on my HTPC, realised the only English audio option is TrueHD. Because I output over spdif to my receiver it means I can only get 2 channel stereo audio. My only other option is to try and sort out some analog cables to hook up each channel which I really don't want to do, I'm quite happy doing it optically.

I think it's pretty ridiculous that they don't provide a 5.1 DTS fallback option like most other discs... is this a sign of things to come? If you have a standalone player, how do they deal with this situation if your amp can't accept HD audio?

Cant you playback the 'hidden' Dolby Digital 5.1 track? It should be there, if you select the Dolby True HD track, and sent through the SDIF output...
